Pupils from The King’s School took part in the Fair Oak Remembrance Parade on Sunday, joining local residents, community groups, and veterans to pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed in conflicts past and present.
Wearing their poppies with pride, pupils laid a wreath at the village war memorial during the service, standing in respectful silence as names were read and the Last Post sounded. Our wreath this year was made by primary pupils and Mrs Ronaldson.
The school extends our thanks to the parade organisers and the local community for welcoming pupils to take part in this significant occasion. Events such as these are a reminder of how shared remembrance strengthens community bonds and inspires the next generation to carry forward the values of peace, courage, and unity.
