Wisdom
We offer a broad and balanced curriculum which prepares children for life. Alongside academic subjects pupils are taught essential life skills and encouraged to respect themselves and each other. Pupils spend time studying the Bible, discovering God’s relevance to their lives and praying together, while the PSHE programme covers a range of issues including health, sex education, problem solving and life skills.
Stature
Pupils are encouraged to make good choices, to persevere and to be resilient. We want pupils to adopt a positive attitude to any challenge that they face whether it is to attempt a difficult task or master a new skill. We value effort over achievement and pupils learn the importance of not giving up and running ‘with perseverance the race that is set before us.’
Favour
Pupils learn the importance of developing good relationships. Speaking well of each other and treating others kindly are high priorities within the school. Pupils are taught how to appreciate each other, often building friendships for life. They are also encouraged to accept differences, resolve conflict and to forgive one another. Having Primary and Senior pupils together on one site allows the development of friendships across the age range, with older pupils supporting younger ones and creating a strong sense of family within the school.
Pupils are encouraged to live lives that are pleasing to God and to grow in their relationship with Him through worship, prayer and Bible study, building solid foundations for the future.
The School’s assessment process allows for targets to be set for Wisdom, Stature and Favour. Future plans are woven into these aspirations and monitored alongside the rest of the curriculum programme.
