A Night of Theatre
Upon the eve of Saturn’s day, great joy didst we find
To bid welcome to The Pantaloons, players most fine,
Who beneath the open firmament didst present
A Midsummer Night’s Dream, to our hearts’ content.
The sun did shine, the laughter rang, the wine was filch’d anon,
And merry company did gather ‘til the night was nearly gone.
’Twas wondrous fair to spy so many countenances bright,
And to parley with old friends, prolonging sweet delight.
Yet more than mirth and revels did this night bestow—
For gold was raised, to aid our cause, as all should know.
The Immeasurably More campaign groweth strong and sure,
To build new rooms for scholars young, their learning to secure.
With hope and happy hearts, next year we do intend
To summon The Pantaloons once more, our revels to extend.
Or for those who prefer not to read in Shakespearean English, this one is for you:
On Saturday night we were delighted to host The Pantaloons for their open air performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
It was an evening of sunshine, laughs and wine stealing. It was wonderful to see so many faces at the event and have the chance to catch up with friends.
More importantly, the event helped us raise funds towards our Immeasurably More campaign, raising money for our new primary classrooms. We look forward to booking The Pantaloons next year for another show.
