Pupils in Year 1 and 2 delivered an assembly on their Heart Concept: Jesus is the King.
"He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield in whom I take refuge”. Psalm 144:2
Dressed in their medieval outfits, their assembly opened with a performance of Jesus is The King.
Parents enjoyed seeing photographs of their medieval dress up day and medieval banquet, where pupils told us they enjoyed tasting new foods. They shared photographs of their castle building projects and told us about how they made them. The castles were excellent, with drawbridge features and clever designs.
Pupils shared some of their highlights from their school trip to Portchester Castle, where they gained first hand experience of castles. Highlights included the bridges. The pupils delivered a short history of England’s Kings and Queens, with some very comic acting. They proudly showed their art work, based on the works of Paul Klee.
Mrs Santer commended all the pupils for their assembly, and the bravery it takes to stand up and present in assembly in front of everyone.
Well done Year 1 and 2. You have all worked so hard this half term!
