Year 5 enjoyed a fascinating, hands-on trip to Winchester Science Centre to enrich their learning on Earth and Space. To begin, children were captivated by the Planetarium Show and the interactive speaker. Their minds were truly extended as they learnt what an awesome, almighty universe we live in. After this Year 5 made their way around the Interactive Space Zone which was full of hand-on exhibits and interesting facts. After lunch together, children took part in a workshop on, ‘The State of Matter’. They made slime together and the workshop culminated in a slime stretching competition. Our children also loved investigating many of the other exhibits in the museum. Altogether children enjoyed a fantastic day which helped instill a real passion for all things scientific!
